NU-PVA – Polyvinyl alcohol partially hydrolyzed (PVA) – is a water-soluble synthetic polymer. This polymer can be an excipient in different solid dosage applications. It is used as viscosity-enhancing or stabilizing agent in liquid dosage forms; as a high oxygen, moisture and aroma barrier.
